A certain number of of brown worm doodles are required on each level to complete it, starting from 3 on the first level. Some of the bubbles carry objects, such as worm doodles and octopuses. (Which is kind of like your Overheat System). You Have Infinity Ammo for your Slinghot but firing too much will Tire Freddi/Luther Out and they can't shoot for a few seconds. Black pearls are worth more than white ones.
There are also bonus levels where you try to catch pearls that are falling. When the water level reaches about 1/5, or the character's height, then the level will be lost and have to be restarted. If you miss the bubbles, they will pop when they reach the surface and the water level will decrease slightly.
